Zero Tolerance Policy

The Hamden Fathers’ Basketball Association is a recreational youth sports program whose mission is to teach the game of basketball and sportsmanship to each child in an environment fun for the whole family. As such, unsportsmanlike conduct, to include the use of profane or abusive language, by any player, coach, parent or fan, cannot and will not be tolerated.  This includes any and all verbal taunts or complaints directed toward game officials.  Hamden Fathers’ utilizes only Board 10 certified officials and THEY DO NOT HAVE A ROOTING INTEREST IN THE GAME.  SIMPLY PUT, THEY DO NOT CARE WHO WINS THE GAME.  Any player, coach, parent or fan who exhibits unsportsmanlike behavior will be escorted from the gym.  Unsportsmanlike conduct by parents and fans can only have a negative impact on every child’s experience. Hamden Fathers’ remains committed to provide each child a structured, recreational experience that fosters sportsmanship, teamwork and inclusion for all.
